WHAT A WEEK!
Time for another update ! I think from now on I'll call this blog a quarterly blog or something!
This week has been quite overwhelmed for me..actually it had been since last week
..hmm but i couldn't actually remember it that much
except that I went out with Tim (a cute guy from East-West centre)on sunday
and had a blast! (not because I was with cute guy all day!)
I was glad that I went to meet Tim actually because I got to do things
I haven't done in a while. "Walking tour"and go on the boat hopping which
I used to do a lot few years back. So I picked him up at Asoke
then went to the Sapan Taksin Pier to get on the boat..
and we hopped off at the temple of dawn.did the touristy thing..
then hopped back to the other side toget a taxi to Phra Artid Rd to find food.
Then walked to Khaosarn to show him what it's like a bit so that he could
come back with his friends later. Then we walked on Rajdamnoen Rd...
I was a little worry about doing a lot of walking, but he didn't mind which was good....
so we walked and walked until we reachedmy favourite bookstore "PASSPORT BOOK"
...we rested for a while there and I bought some books from there
(P' Nhum had a haircut finally!!!!!) then we walked again to the other
two temples and went back to ASOKE by a long tailed boat....
It was quite an experience!
it was fun! so next time when my friends come over
I think I'll take them to the similar route.
Maybe if I make out a route very carefully ...it might be something more interesting
...Anyway back to this week......
It has been hectic with shit load of work, trying to finished off the whole magazine for
the middle east edition...(no replies for 2 days from them! so decided to send the cd
to them and let them edit the stuff themselves) Kate has left the company and
my dear uncle oo, a stinger from myanmar has died from the heart attack..
It was quite sad actually, received a phone call from Ogi, my ex boss early on Thursday
morning he just simply said that Uncle Oo is dead...
I asked for more details, and he told me that he died from the heart attack
and the funeral was on that day. My heart was jumping over to Yangon.
We weren't that close coz I met him about 5-6 times but then there's been
a lot of things going on with him last year with 2 arrested by the junta military.
.. and you would never want to be arrested in myanmar! Anyway my ex-boss
tried to apply for a visa, in which don't think that it's possible..
but i think i'll check again on him about that.
I was supposed to go to the temple to make a prayer for him
but so far I simply haven't gone yet for what ever reason that was..
I'll try...next week!
Jump over to the weekend....
Melissa came to visit from ShianghaiI took her out on Saturday..
spend 9 hours at Paragon before headingto a launching party of a new
collection of the Lotus arts jewellery @ Sukhothai hotel, and met a new
bunch of people through Patrick...and they all Italian!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway....to cut the story shortwe went out again to lunch and dinner
with the similar group of people we met last night
(don't ask me how come we ended up with them, I don't know!)
I think I could do a whole magazine with these bunch of people!!!
I mean I was sitting opposite one of the greatest chef in Italy (I forgot his name already)
and on my table there was a great painter, a jewellery designer (Sri Von Bouren!!!),
a guy from Italian-Thai chamber of commerce, a guy who import wine,
a vineyard owner,a guy who work for a vodka company (wicked vodka by the way!!!)
and probably some other important guys as well
.OH this is amazing I need to write this down. I
had about 5 different wine tonight (few sips each though) and I didn't go red!!!!!!!!!!
so.......the wines must've been really really good hahahahahaha ]
and VODKA.....I never drink pure vodka before......but it was so good!!!!!

OK I'll need to whine down for a while and the next party will be after Chinese New Year.
Patrick, Mel and I are already planning for the next trip....
We probably ended up in either Samui or Phuket, depends on where I can get
the most discount off.
